FBI Arrests Alleged Serial Bank Robber

Johanna P. Quish, 45, of Dorchester was charged with the April 13 armed robbery of the Sovereign Bank on 575 Boylston St.

Alleged "serial bank bobber" Johanna P. Quish, 45, of Dorchester, was arrested Monday and of the Sovereign Bank on 575 Boylston St. 

Quish was arrested by the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force at 2 p.m. in Danvers after a tip from the public. 

Quish is suspected of four other robberies that the FBI did not name. When the FBI sought the public's help in the appeal that resulted in her arrest, they included a failed attempt on Mt. Washington Bank in Jamaica Plain. In that incident, which occured May 4, a teller refused to comply with the robber's demands.

In 2005, Quish received probation for a 2005 robbery of a Soverign Bank in Milton.
