Driver Hits Boy on Scooter, Crashes into Jamaica Plain Home

A teenage boy was hospitalized after being struck by a car in Dorchester.

A 15 year-old boy was hospitalized Wednesday night after he was struck by a car in Dorchester, Boston.com reported. The boy was riding a motor scooter at around 8 p.m. and was hit by the car at the intersection of Kingsdale and Standish Streets.

Following the crash, the driver fled the scene and was chased by the police until he crashed into a Jamaica Plain home on Glenside Avenue.  

7 News reported that the boy wasn’t wearing a helmet and was bleeding from his head before he was taken to Boston Medical Center.
