Cops Spot JP Man Allegedly Selling Heroin in Roslindale

Undercover Boston Police arrested a Jamaica Plain man in Roslindale for allegedly selling heroin to a West Roxbury man.

On Aug. 2 around 6:05 p.m., Franklin T. Pena, of 117 Forest Hills St. #2A, Jamaica Plain, was arrested and charged with distribution of a Class A drug, heroin, and possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug, heroin; and Demetrios Nakos, of 4873 Washington St. #5, West Roxbury, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A drug, heroin, according to a Boston Police report.

Cops were surveilling the area of 4833 Washington St., in Roslindale, and saw a vehicle being operated by Pena pull over to the location and Nakos enter the passenger seat. After driving a short distance Nakos got out of the vehicle and then got into another vehicle. Police stopped both vehicles. After police explained their observations to Nakos, he allegedly admitted to purchasing a $40 bag of heroin from Pena and gave the bag to police.

Police stopped Pena's vehicle and found a breath mint container with two plastic bags of a substance believed to be heroin, according to a Boston Police report. Police also seized $401 in cash from Pena, as well as two cellphones. The vehicle was towed and will be held pending forfeiture proceedings for illicit drug trafficking.
