Allston Man Who Failed to Register as Sex Offender Arrested in JP

Police questioned the man at Forest Hills Station on another matter before they discovered a warrant was out for his arrest.

An Allston man was first questioned by police for trespassing at Forest Hills Station Tuesday afternoon, but was then arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.

Matthew Johnson, 31, was climbing onto the commuter rail platform at the station when he was stopped by MBTA Transit police officers who began to inform him of the dangers of trespassing on the track – or: “Right of Way – according to a transit police blog post.

As police reviewed Johnson’s information, they found an outstanding warrant in existence for his arrest issued from Dorchester District Court for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, according to the post.
