POLL: Where's the Best Place to Buy Candy in Jamaica Plain?

Easter is just around the corner. Where do you go for candy?

JP Patch is doing a series of week-long "Best Of Patch Readers' Choice" contests. This week's category is: Best Place to Buy Candy.

Here's how it works. Vote in the poll below. Add comments supporting your decision. Rate the businesses involved. Votes and ratings decide the winner, with ties broken by most favorable comments.

The poll closes at 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll isn't scientific, it isn't the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor (that's me, ), based on poll results, comments on this story and ratings on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey. The official rules are attached to this post as a PDF.

And now, the nominees, along with links to their Patch Places pages. JP doesn't really have candy stores, so I've cast a wide net, including some of the larger convenience stores and bodegas that sell candy:

  • City Feed  ( or )
  • CVS ( or )
  • Tedeschi's ( or )

The winner gets bragging rights and a framed certificate from Patch. Let the voting, rating and commenting begin!

Ruggerio's! For those who aren't familiar with buying candy there - they actually have penny candy wrapped up in little baggies by the Brothers R and ready to go! It's (literally) quite sweet.

This place is pretty new and could be added to the list: http://www.facebook.com/SouthSTConvJP. I'm not sure if they would get my vote or not -- as a candy enthusiast, there's a lot to deliberate here -- but they do have Sixlets, which I like, besides the more typical candy array.
