This past Tuesday was our first reelection. Because of the support of friends like you, we received 7,431 votes (and 97.55 percent of all votes cast). I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to keep my dream job and extraordinarily appreciative of the people who helped me get here.
Next week is the one-year anniversary of the special election that first brought us onto the City Council. As I reflect on our first year in office, I feel tested by the challenges and proud of the accomplishments. My enthusiasm and love for this job continues to grow each and every day.
Whether you voted for me, held a sign, made calls, donated money, knocked on doors, stood at the polls or simply wished me well, I am so thankful for your support and friendship. While I'm loathe to make campaign promises, this is one I strive to prove true every day: I will not let you down and shall always merit your support.
