64 Catherine Street in Boston Wins 2013 Prism Award

Ellen Grubert and Janis Lippman, sales associates affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England, are pleased to announce that GFC Development Inc. was recently recognized with a 2013 PRISM Award from the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston. GFC Development received a Silver PRISM Award for innovative and green design for 64 Catherine Street in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood.

Grubert and Lippman, sales associates affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Jamaica Plain, are the exclusive listing agents of 64 Catherine Street.

64 Catherine Street consists of two green townhouses constructed in a super-insulated building that feature energy-efficient appliances and fixtures, as well as solar photovoltaic and solar thermal panels for power and hot water respectively. The homes, which offer three bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms, are being constructed as part of the city of Boston’s Energy Plus “E+” Green Building Program, a residential design and construction initiative to bring energy-efficient and energy-positive green homes to the city’s neighborhoods. 64 Catherine Street is expected to be completed this month.

“64 Catherine Street exemplifies quality construction and smart design. These homes offer superior craftsmanship and exceptional value for homebuyers who are seeking green living in an urban environment with easy access to public transportation, local shops, restaurants and parks,” said Grubert.
