YOUR TURN: Where Would You Put Recycling Bins in Jamaica Plain?

Where would recycling bins do the most good in Jamaica Plain?

Boston's about to across the city, but they won't go everywhere. City officials said the bins will go in high-traffic areas and not necessarily in residential blocks. And they won't go into parks, at least not yet, because the bins have advertising on their sides.

What do you think? If you were in charge of placing these bins in the neighborhood, where would they go? Tell your neighbors in the comments below.

I would love to see them outside of T stations

I agree with Rosa, I'd also like to see them in front of convenience stores, particularly on South.

Near JP Licks, T Stations, and wherever the trash bins are most consistently full.

Along Centre St. I was thinking of the 39 bus stop @Purple Cactus, but then I'm wondering where there is the needed amount of sunlight to do the compacting. Ask the city workers who remove the big plastic bags of trash and put in the new bags where the biggest mess is. From my view, the sun makes a big circuit from behind side of Centre where City Feed, Goodwill, CVS, etc. to setting behind Jamaica Pond.

Yes, absolutely! Cannot say specifically where ... but at 'common sense' spots.

Outside any and all Dunkin' Donuts. And DD employees must be FORBIDDEN to stick plastic cups into styrofoam cups.

Well-thought-out, Anita. Who would know better than the folks who deal with our garbage already?
