Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Massachusetts

The ticket, sold in the central Massachusetts town of Sterling, is worth $61.4 million.

The Bay State has minted a new multi-millionaire.

Someone bought a winning Powerball ticket in the central Massachusetts town of Sterling,according to the Boston Globe. The owner of the winning ticket shares a $122.9 million jackpot with a lucky lottery player in Nebraska.

The winner can decide to take a lump sum of $34 million or receive an annuity of $61.4 million.

The winning ticket played the numbers 1-10-13-18-19, Powerball 27 and was sold at Appleton Market, 9 Main St., in Sterling, according to the Massachusetts Lottery.

As of Thursday morning, the winner hadn't made himself or herself public. Click through to the Globe for speculation from Sterling on who the winner might be.

For the rest of us, the Powerball jackpot has reset to $40 million.
