Who hosts International Visitors in their home?

Here at Global Immersions we often are asked by international visitors, language schools, university programs and group program leaders; Who are your hosts? and What are they like?

The simple answer is, individuals who live in the Boston area in close proximity public transportation and individuals who truly enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

The more complicated answer is that our hosts come from all walks of life.  Our host network includes “traditional” nuclear families, single professionals, single parents, couples, married couples, couples with children and those without, empty nesters, retirees, multi-generation homes, friends, people with pets, people who live in large homes and  people who live in smaller homes, etc.  Our host network also includes families of all different nationalities, races and religious backgrounds.

What our hosts have in common is extra space in their home and a safe environment to share with an international visitor.

If you are someone who enjoys interacting with people from different cultures, sharing your own lifestyle and you have extra space in your home, you might be a great host!
