Tracks and Signs: Unfolding a Story

Nothing smells better in the crisp winter air than pine needles. We'll
spend a short time outside tracking down the different pine trees and
evergreens that are found at the BNC. We'll learn about the adaptations
that help trees survive the harsh conditions of winter while we collect
pine cones and needles, and then warm up inside while taking part in sap
and leaf comparisons and experiments.
