Third Annual JP Music Festival

The free, third

annual JP Music Festival will be held at Pinebank Field on Saturday,

September 7, 2013 from 12-7 PM.

The festival

will have two stages, with continuous music from more than 20 artists and

bands. As with its first two festivals in 2011 and 2012, the festival features

musicians, bands, or ensemble members who either live or work in Boston’s Jamaica

Plain neighborhood.

The festival will also feature activities for kids, numerous food trucks and carts, shade and water for dogs, bike racks, and artist and festival merchandise for sale.

This year’s

top sponsors include Premier Sponsor The Galway House, Stage

Sponsor Tres Gatos, and Major Sponsor JP Seafood Café.

“We wouldn’t

be able to produce the festival without the continued support of The Galway

House and our new sponsors Tres Gatos and JP Seafood Café,” states Rick Berlin, Co-Founder and

Producer of the festival. “Their generous donations truly help bring the JP

Music Festival to life.”

The festival

is also supported by donations to and attendees at fundraisers held throughout

the year, including:

“Coming into

our third year is exciting because the word has gotten out around Boston about

the festival, so we’re expecting a bigger crowd and people staying all day

long. I’m confident this will be our best festival yet,” says Shamus Moynihan,

Co-Founder and Producer of the festival and Promoter at The Midway Café.

The festival’s

music is always as diverse as Jamaica Plain itself, with genres this year featuring

Afrobeat, Americana, Baroque, country, dance, folk, funk, gospel, hip hop, jazz,

opera, pop, rock, ska, and soul.
