Jamaica Plain Tuesday Club Fundraiser with special speaker Curt DiCamillo:

"The King, the Duke and the Rothschilds: Edwardian Country Houses in the Era of Downton Abbey"

Tuesday, January 28, 2014, 7 pm – 9 pm

Tickets $25/person
***

Please join us on Tuesday, January 28 for a delightful talk by Curt DiCamillo.
Mr. DiCamillo’s lecture, “The King, the Duke and the Rothschilds:
Edwardian Country Houses in the Era of Downton Abbey” will examine some
of the greatest country houses of England that peaked during the
Edwardian era. Named after King Edward VII, who reigned at the turn of
the 20th century, the Edwardian era was the swan song of a centuries-old way of life.

From Highclere Castle (famous as the setting for Downton Abbey) to
Blenheim Palace, the magnificent home of Consuelo Vanderbilt and the
Duke of Marlborough, to the glorious Rothschild houses, there has never
been anything quite like the splendor of the grand Edwardian country
houses.

As attendees of last year’s “Highclere Castle: The Real Downton Abbey”
talk will attest, Mr. DiCamillo’s lectures are not only fascinating,
but are delivered in an entertaining and charmingly irreverent style.

Join us and help the Jamaica Plain Tuesday Club with preservation efforts of the Loring-Greenough House by purchasing tickets, $25/person, here

We are not taking advance reservations, so make sure to order your tickets online!
