Smell the Love: An Evening of Love Songs to Benefit the JP Music Festival

It's time to Smell the Love!

The JP Music Festival is gearing up for 2014's festival with our first fund-raiser of the new year, Smell the Love: An Evening of Love Songs to Benefit the JP Music Festival.

The fund-raiser will be Friday, February 14th (Valentine's Day) at 8 PM at The Midway Cafe. $10 donation at the door.

After a bitter winter, it's time to heat things up with a little lovin'!

The evening will feature local musicians performing covers of their favorite love songs. As our third Smell the Love event, it's always a fantastic evening that gives local musicians an opportunity to get up and perform some of their favorite songs.
2013's Smell the Love featured songs as diverse as Rogers and Hart's "My Funny Valentine," The Buzzcocks' "Ever Fallen in Love," Bob Marley's "Wait in Vain," Peter Frampton's "Baby I Love Your Way," The Cult's "Love Removal Machine," Etta James' "Something's Got a Hold on Me," Dolly Parton's "Jolene," ABC's "The Look of Love," Prince's "I Wanna Be Your Lover," Warren Zevon's "Tenderness on the Block" and dozens more. It's a very fun night and a great chance to see old friends and meet new ones.

Want to perform a song or two? Contact davidjmuellercpa@aol.com and let Ferris know the name(s) of the songs and artists you'd like to cover.

2014's songs will be announced over the coming weeks at the JP Music Festival's Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/jpmusicfest and Twitter: http://twitter.com/jpmusicfestival

The 4th annual JP Music Festival will be held in September 2014.
