LGBQ/T New Parent Group

Early parenthood is a time of transition and change for many families,
and every family’s adjustment to parenthood can look different.  LGBQ/T (lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and/or transgender) identified parents
may encounter additional changes and may benefit from having a space to
discuss their own unique family structure and parenting-related
questions. The LGBQ/T Parent Group is a forum to connect with other
parents through discussions about our LGBQ/T identities and our
identities as parents. This group provides a non-judgmental space to
acquire information, share ideas with other LGBQ/T parents, and reflect
on our own strategies, strengths, and challenges. Guided discussion
topics will emerge based on the interest of parents in the group. This
group is open to all families with children under 1 year who identify as
queer, be it by gender, sexual orientation, or family structure.
