Fermentation and Conversation at Egleston Farmers Market

Fermentation 101 with Boston Ferments & Ogusky Ceramics, 10 am-1 pm. Score cabbage and other fermentables from The Neighborhood Farm, Buckle Farm, The Food Project or Norwell Farms! You’ll be able to pick up salts from Soluna Garden Farm next week.

This workshop will take place here at Egleston Farmers Market. We’ll begin with a tour of the market, where we’ll pick up fresh veggies. Then we’ll discuss the political & historical aspects of fermentation. And lastly, we’ll chop up the vegetables and everyone will go home with a jar of fermenting sauerkraut.

Get a DISCOUNT if you sign up now! Sign up through Eventbrite and use the promotional code “farmersmarket” to get $10 off the workshop cost.

Hola, Hallo, Hello! Join us for the first in a series of language exchanges (Spanish/English) at the Market, this Saturday, July 26, 12:30-1:30 pm. Come meet neighbors and friends for a quick chat or a riveting conversation on nutrition, music, art, or a variety of other spontaneous topics the market inspires.
