The English High School will be hosting it's first annual Winter Gala. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 6:30pm and feature the EHS Drum Line, Choir, and Dance Programs. Please see the attached flyer and sponsorship packet.  We are all very excited about the rebirth of the arts programs here at English High School!  Please join us for what is bound to be a great night of fun, music, and dance!

The English High School, founded in 1821, is the first and oldest high school in the Boston Public School district, and one of the first public high schools in America

Morgan <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._P._Morgan> , actor Leonard Nimoy <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Nimoy> , Minister Louis Farrakhan <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Farrakhan> , World War II General Matthew Ridgway <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Ridgway> , and philanthropist Charles Hayden.  English High School (“the English”) is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in BPS with a student body that is 54% Hispanic <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hispanic> , 44% Black <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_people> , 1% White <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_people> , and 1% Asian <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_people> . The English is home to a host of community-based partners committed to promote the school’s mission of across-the-board achievement for each English High School student.
