While you shop, enjoy some wonderful music. Cornell Coley is bringing AFRIKA GENTE (pronounced "hen-tay") to the market. This is a versatile Latin jazz and folk dance band with thrilling originals AND well-loved hits - playing Latin jazz, samba, jazz, afro-beat, zouk and soca. The "folk" repertoire includes drumming, dancing, singing and folkloric instruments. Bandleader Cornell Coley, a respected multi-percussionist and dancer, active throughout New England as an arts educator, has assembled a great mix of performers from the jazz, gospel, African and Latin music worlds.
