Winter’s Pulse


A collaboration of dance exploring winters exceptional beauty and lessons within nature, society and love. A journey into humanities grapples with short days and lack of sunshine. Seeing the true motion and thriving life that continues to pulsate under the layers of stillness.

ABOUT THE DANCERS:
Shelby Bendzewicz is from Pelham, New Hampshire and started her dance training at Lisa Pilato Dance Center in Dracut, Massachusetts. She is a performer, choreographer, and dance instructor in and outside The United States. She has performed for Tokyo Disneyland, Holland America Cruise Lines, Apex Contemporary Dance Theatre in Denver, Colorado, numerous industrials in New York City and video projects in Northern Florida. Shelby is mostly known for not staying in one place longer than a few months because of her need to explore. She is inspired by nature’s remarkable beauty and the interaction of people living within it. 

Carolyn Breton began dance training at Lisa Pilato Dance Center in her hometown of Dracut, Massachusettes. A Bachelor of Fine Arts recipient from The Boston Conservatory, she had the opportunity to perform works by Alwin Nikolais and as a soloist in Jose Limon’s classics, The Winged and There is a Time. Upon graduation, Carolyn became a touring member of Urbanity Dance Company, performing in Boston, New York City, Texas, and at Jacob's Pillow Inside/Out Stage in the Berkshires. Most recently she has performed in New York City with Pantos Project, a project-based contemporary dance company. Carolyn has premiered choreography at the Boston Conservatory Dance Theatre and the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, along with numerous competition works. Currently Carolyn is teaching, choreographing, assisting, and performing across New England & New York.
