Part way through her studies at Berklee College of Music, Jenn encountered the album “Blue Camel” by oudist Rabih Abou-Khalil. She was enchanted by the album’s seamless blend of jazz and middle-eastern music- utilizing Arabic forms, musicians, and rhythms together with jazz personnel like Kenny Wheeler, Charlie Mariano, and Steve Swallow. This album of "world jazz" intrigued Jenn and drove her to create music with similar influences.

Jenn's compositions infuse contemporary jazz with the melodic, rhythmic and harmonic stylings of Middle Eastern, Flamenco, South American, and Balkan music. She strives to bring many individual sounds and talents together to form a contemporary instrumental ensemble with a lot to say.

Jenn currently attends the New England Conservatory for graduate studies in jazz composition. In addition to composing and performing, Jenn teaches private brass,  improvisation, and music theory in the greater Boston Area. Jenn is a performer with numerous groups throughout the Boston area, including the Omar Thomas Large Ensemble, the Florencia Gonzalez Big Band, Luminarium Dance Company, and the Veronica Robles Mariachi Ensemble.
