Callie Demos and Adam Wintzer of Jamaica Plain in Boston Children's Theatre's PIPPIN July 18 - 21

The winner of four
2013 Tony® Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, PIPPIN is truly magical and
extraordinary!  Boston Children’s Theatre
(BCT) is proud to present this thrilling musical to showcase the talents of 12-year
old Callie Demos and 12-year old Adam Wintzer.  PIPPIN will
be performed July 18, 19, 20, and 21 at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA.



Callie Demos has been
cast in the role of ‘Player’ in the ensemble. 
No stranger to the stage, Callie has performed with the Freelance Players
and in numerous plays at her school, The Neighborhood School. 



Also cast as ‘Player’
in the ensemble, Adam Wintzer was recently seen in Oliver at Wheelock Family Theatre. 
He has also appeared with Riverside Theatre Works Summer program and has
participated in Boston Ballet’s Summer School. Adam is a student at The
Learning Project.

Stephen Schwartz, composer of Godspell
and Wicked, and book by Roger O.
Hirson, PIPPIN follows a young man
on his journey to find meaning in his life. Will he choose a happy, simple
existence or risk everything for a moment of glory?  Featuring such songs as “Corner of the Sky,”
“Magic to Do,” “Glory,” and “Morning Glow,” PIPPIN is directed by Lisa Yuen, director of BCT’s 2012 Studio 3 production
of Legally Blonde, with choreography
by Blair Beasley and Brianna Fallon, and music direction by Jaime Castellanos.



PIPPIN will be performed with 2 casts totaling 58 students between the ages of 9
and 14 at The Governor’s Academy, 1 Elm Street, Byfield, MA.  Callie and Adam will be performing Thursday,
July 18 at 7:30 pm; Saturday, July 20 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, July 21 at 2:00
