Blue Hill Club's Studio Heat Reunites with Bad Rabbits at 4th Annual Passing the Mic

WHAT: R&B band the Bad Rabbits will join the Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club’s Studio Heat Music Clubhouse for the 4th Annual Passing the Mic presented by Converse. The event benefits Studio Heat, the Music Clubhouse located in the Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club.

WHO: The Studio Heat Music Clubhouse consists of talented performers from the Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club, who specialize in original lyric writing, beat-making, vocals and instrumentation. Studio Heat members have performed alongside big-name artists including Ne-Yo, B.o.B., D.M.C. (of RUN-D.M.C.), Michael Franti, Tom Hamilton (of Aerosmith) Mac Miller, KID ‘N PLAY, and Rob Base.

Bad Rabbits, whose American Love album was released in 2013 and debuted at #1 on the iTunes R&B Albums Chart and hit the Top 10 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. The band made their national TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! followed by performances on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and The Arsenio Hall Show. American Love has received praise from the likes of USA Today, MTV Buzzworthy, Spin, Pitchfork, Alternative Press, Vice, Vibe and many more!  Bad Rabbits will be on the 2014 Vans Warped Tour this summer.

WHEN: Thursday, June 5, 2014, 6 p.m.

WHY: In partnership with the Music & Youth Initiative and Berklee College of Music, the Music Clubhouse Program provides youths in underserved urban communities the opportunity to build self-confidence while fostering an appreciation for music. At Passing the Mic, Studio Heat will have the opportunity to perform with their mentors, the Bad Rabbits at the historic Strand Theatre.
