Snow Forecast For Boston Trimmed Back to 1-2 Inches

An expected Saturday storm, once predicted to bring 2 to 6 inches of snow, is expected by the National Weather Service to bring only 1 or 2 inches.

The National Weather Service is predicting JP will get only 1 to 2 inches of snow during Saturday's expected storm.

Snow, mainly before 3 p.m. High near 35. North wind between 5 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Another weather predictor, the Weather Underground, forecasts we'll only get an inch.

On Friday, forecasters had called for 2 to 4 inches of snow for Boston, sparking hopes of finally building snowmen or breaking out the cross-country skis during one of the warmest winters on record.
