National Weather Service Issues High Wind Warning for JP

The city's alert system just sent out word of the warning. Gusts could reach 55 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Boston. It goes into effect at 8 p.m. Saturday through 8 a.m. Sunday.

Gusts could reach 55 mph. According to the city's Alert Boston system, "wind and heavy wet snow could cause downed trees and power lines, and prolonged power outages."

Jamaica Plain tonight, the National Weather Service has forecast.
