Library to Host JP Writers Series

Author Chuck Collins will kick off the series Jan. 24.

Local readers will have a chance to meet with scribes from Jamaica Plain to discuss their writing and their careers.

The Friends of the Jamaica Plain Library kickoff JP Writes & Invites next week.

Author Chuck Collins will discuss his career at the opening event. Collins has penned "99 to 1: How Wealth Inequality is Wrecking the World and What We Can Do About It," "A Voting Guide for the 99 Percent," "How Our Tax System Subsidizes Bloated CEO Pay" and other works of non-fiction, according to the FOJPL site.

The event is from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Jamaica Plain Branch Library.

Author Jennifer Haigh is the guest Feb.  28, and Jodi Daynard will be in house March 7. The FOJPL website has the full and updated schedule.
