JP Library Branch Closed Until December

The branch will undergo electrical maintenance for two weeks.

Though a renovation meeting is scheduled, Jamaica Plain’s local library branch has closed so that needed maintenance can be performed.

The branch closed over the weekend and will reopen Dec. 3 at 10 a.m., according to a library statement.

“The branch will receive updated wiring, a process that necessitates the temporary closure of the branch for a two-week period,” the statement says. “In addition to the updated wiring, the Jamaica Plain Branch will have all its lighting fixtures rebuilt and rewired which will enable them to use higher efficiency bulbs.”
