Are The Streets of JP More Confusing than NY?

A viral meme pits the city streets of New York City against Boston and features much of Jamaica Plain.

Even Bostonians will tell you the streets of Boston are confusing. That confusion was exploited recently in a viral meme which features birds-eye-views of New York City and Boston.

New York’s streets are arranged in symmetrical grid-like fashion, and Boston’s are, well, not. That fact is well established, and the meme makes hilarious light of this by way of a profanity.

However, if you look closely at the lower-left corner, Jamaica Plain takes up much of the area in the “Boston” portion of the meme. The area depicts the South Huntington Corridor, an area of JP that the state has set its sights on for redesign.

Are the streets of Boston - especially Jamaica Plain - really that much more confusing than the streets of New York City? (Try driving around in downtown New York for a while...) Leave your opinion in the comments.
