Ducks Stumble on Thawing Pond VIDEO

With the Pond thawing, several ducks, used to weeks of a frozen surface, had to scamper to safety Wednesday.

While a flock of geese hung out in the middle of the thawing Jamaica Pond Wednesday afternoon, a group of flightless ducks had to congregate along the Perkins Street edge to avoid falling through (even though they float).

Passersby stopped to take photos of the flock on the pond’s egde while three ducks made their way from the center of the melting ice on an unseasonably warm January day.

One of them stumbled a bit, but after a few minutes of waddling the ducks made it to the group just fine.
