1. The weather was warm throughout the city yesterday. So much so that ducks were looking for an escape from the Pond.

2. Yesterday at around noon, police descended on the Amory Street area. They were looking for a suspect, but the crime the suspect committed was not immediately clear. Police left the area by about 1:30. Stay tuned.

5.  The Boston Public Schools system released new school assignment proposals Monday that include everything from the creation of smaller zones to the abolition of the zones altogether. The schools' External Advisory Committee will discuss the proposals Monday, Feb. 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Orchard Gardens K-8 School, 906 Albany St.
