JP Resident, Wolf Greenfield Attorney, to be Founding Member of the America Invents Act (AIA) Pro Bono Advisory Council

Chelsea Loughran to Represent Wolf Greenfield in Supporting the Continued Growth and Success of Pro Bono Programs

Intellectual property law firm Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C.  announced that Chelsea Loughran, an associate in the firm’s Litigation Group, has been invited by Chief Judge Randall R. Rader to attend the signing of a Charter to form the AIA Pro Bono Advisory Council. This event will take place on October 25 in Chief Judge Rader’s chambers at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C.

The Council inauguration follows the signing of the America Invents Act (AIA) into law on September 16, 2011 by President Obama and the establishment of the AIA Pro Bono Task Force shortly thereafter with support from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). On Friday, Chelsea will be present to establish an Advisory Council to continue the efforts of the AIA Pro Bono Task Force and to support and guide existing patent pro bono programs throughout the country.  As co-chair of the Pro Bono Committee of the Boston Patent Law Association, Chelsea has been working to establish and launch a patent pro bono program in the Greater Boston community.
