Jamaica Plain Distribution Partners on board for Anton's "Coats for Kids" drive

Starting October 14, 2013, Anton’s Cleaners is kicking off its 19th annual "Coats for Kids" winter coat drive and will run through January 11, 2014. There are three Jamaica Plain Distribution Partners on board for this year's collection. Jamaica Plain organizations include: Martha Eliot Health Center/Children's Hospital, Hennigan Elementary School and Curley K-8 School.

Anton’s Cleaners "Coats for Kids" collection has one simple goal - to help individuals who otherwise wouldn’t be able to keep themselves and their families warm. "Coats for Kids" is New England’s largest coat drive, collecting over 856,000 coats since the program began.

Participating companies and organizations collect good quality, warm winter coats and then bring them to any of Anton’s Cleaners’ 42 locations (including Boston stores located on Mass. Ave. and Charles St.) or one of the five Jordan’s Furniture stores. Once collected and cleaned, coats are distributed free of charge through the Distribution Partner network.

Our Distribution Partners serve a critical role ensuring that good quality coats are given out immediately to families in need before New England’s most unforgiving weather is upon us.”

Last year’s drive collected 52,000 coats, with Anton’s donating over $10M in cleaning services since the program’s inception. Promotional partners for the 2013-2014 "Coats for Kids" collection include Jordan’s Furniture, KISS 108, Wicked Local, Fox 25 and Jam’n 94.5.
