Silence at the Gaming Tables

No deals brewing between city, casinos.

City Hall has had no new talks with casino developers despite getting a week’s reprieve to work out mitigation deals from the state Gaming Commission, which is due to vote Thursday on the vexing question of whether Boston can be considered a host community with veto power over two casino projects on its borders.

Representatives of Mohegan Sun and Wynn Resorts, who are proposing respective casinos in Revere and Everett, told the Herald yesterday they have no meetings scheduled with Boston, and have not met with city officials in weeks.
