1. Farmers Market: The JP Center Farmers' Market opens today at noon. The market is located in the Bank of America Parking lot at 677 Centre St.

2. Casey Meeting: MassDOT officials will hold the 75 percent design hearing at English High School Thursday night.

3. Weather: It's been hot with no break in sight.

4. Volunteers are needed for the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Boston Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, Sept. 29, beginning at Canal Park at the CambridgeSide Galleria in Cambridge.  Money raised by Walk to End Alzheimer’s helps to provide care and support for individuals and families touched by Alzheimer’s and to fund Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
