JP Ready for 15th Forest Hills Lantern Festival

The festival is Thursday night at Forest Hills Cemetery.

For those of you who will brave the humidity, one of Jamaica Plain’s most glowing traditions is Thursday night.

It’s the 15th annual Forest Hills Cemetery Lantern Festival. Those involved will create lanterns with inscribed messages of peace to float peacefully along Lake Hibiscus.

The event is from 6 to 9 p.m., and is free to the public. It’s $10 to park, however. In the very unlikely event of rain, the festival will be moved to July 25.
