Exhibit: Cuban Moments: 50 Years After the Revolution

This photographic exhibit by Jamaica Plain artist Kerri Schmidt is part of a month-long series of events celebrating Cuban culture at the Connolly Branch Library.   

An art reception for Ms. Schmidt will be held on Monday, January 9, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Author Event: Cathryn Griffith discusses her book HAVANA REVISITED: AN ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE, which juxtaposes vintage postcards of Havana's historic buildings with photographs of what they look like today.  Monday, January 30, 6:30 p.m.

Film Screening: ¡SALUD! A look at the health care system in Cuba, one the BBC calls "one of the world's best health systems," despite the island's poverty.  Monday, February 6, 6:00 p.m.
