60th Anniversary of the Friends of the JP Branch Library

Come out to the library to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Friends of the Jamaica Plain Branch Library, the oldest such group in the Boston Public Library system!   Founded on April 28, 1952 the Friends have been supporting the JP branch since Gene Kelly danced across the screen in Singin' in the Rain.

Events and activities for all age groups:

*There will be children's art projects and snacks that center around 'Charlotte's Web' (which was published in 1952).

* For adults there will be an elegant tea, harkening back to the Friends of the JP Branch Library founders. We will have lovely refreshments and toast this momentous occasion.
