Two in Arborway Crash Released From Hospital

Police closed the Arborway for several hours last Friday afternoon due to the crash.

An occupant from both vehicles involved in last Friday's major crash on the Arborway has been released, while the remaining four victims continue to be hospitalized.

Jake Wark, spokesman for Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley's office, said in an email a 15-year-old passenger in the Mazda SUV and the adult passenger in the Ford pickup have been released from care.

"The driver of the pickup and the three other occupants of the SUV remain in area hospitals," Wark said.

No charges have been brought at this point, and the crash is still under investigation.

Last Friday, the SUV crossed the center line on the Arborway and struck an oncoming Ford pickup truck around 3 p.m. The Arborway was shut down well into afternoon commuting hours causing gridlock throughout Jamaica Plain and in the parkway area.
