Sandwiched Between Storms, Residents Reach Out for a Help Shoveling
A local blog features information on nearby residents who need a hand facing the winter weather.
With one winter storm behind, another expected to hit Tuesday afternoon will leave residents in Jamaica Plain and the rest of the Commonwealth with the need to grab their snow shovels once again.
But some residents are still digging out of the last storm, and are reaching out for an extra set of hands, according to a Monday evening blog post on neighborsforneighbors.org.
"Last this afternoon I learned that there are a bunch of seniors still snowed in that need help digging out," blogger Joseph Porcelli wrote in the post. "I know this is a lot to ask, especially given the snow is more difficult to move, but I really concerned about these folks and hope you can help. If you are not in a position to help out, please share this post on Facebook and Twitter."
