Rep. Sanchez to Host Forum on Gun Violence

The forum is Oct. 9 in Jamaica Plain.

With gun violence a consistent threat to the community, this JP politician wants to inform the local public on the laws and state of affairs in Massachusetts.

Rep. Jeffrey Sanchez will host a forum on gun violence at Bromley-Heath’s Anna Mae Cole Center, 10 Lamartine Extension, Jamaica Plain Oct. 9.

Over the next few months, the Massachusetts legislature will be addressing the gun laws in the Commonwealth,” said a press statement from Sanchez Tuesday. “This Gun Violence Forum plans to further explore the community’s perspective on these issues. Local leaders will be indicating what actions are being taken to reduce gun violence in Boston’s neighborhoods. A variety of organizations that are vested in the issue will also be present such as Citizens for Safety, The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute and Mothers for Justice and Equality. “
