Obama Chooses Jamaica Plain's Carlos Arredondo As Guest At State of the Union

The JP resident is one of six guests invited to the speech by the Obama Administration.

The White House has announced that Jamaica Plain resident Carlos Arredondo  as one of six guests at President Obama's State of the Union Address on Tuesday night to be seated with Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President. 

Arredondo will be joined by Jeff Bauman, the man he helped save during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.

Other guests include Moore, OK fire chief Gary Bird, former NBA player Jason Collins, 16-year-old Arizona entrepreneur Joey Hudy and 2013 Washington D.C Teacher of the Year Kathy Hollowell-Makle. 

The annual speech will take place at 9 p.m., with a live "Open for Questions" event from the White House taking place after the speech on the White House website.
