Longtime Bikes Not Bombs Employee Embarking on 5-Month Hike

An employee of Bikes Not Bombs in Jamaica Plain is wrapping up his last day at the local shop to head out on a five-month hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, the shop announced Monday

Alex Twombly started at the shop in 2003 as a youth instructor and has volunteered with international programs, according to the announcement. 

Bikes Not Bombs, a nonprofit, full-service bicycle sales and repair shop, will host its 27th annual Bike-A-Thon will be on Sunday, June 8. Registered riders will raise at least $150 each to support Bikes Not Bombs' you and international programs.
