JP Shines to Clean Up Jamaica Plain Streets on Saturday

The clean-up effort will begin at 9 a.m. at the Soldier's Monument in Jamaica Plain.

A clean-up is in store for Centre and South streets in Jamaica Plain on Saturday. 

Organizers of a local anti-litter campaign and JP Centre/South Main Streets are teaming up to help clean up the neighborhoods this weekend, and are asking area residents to joint the effort. 

Known as "JP Shines," the campaign was organized by the Jamaica Plain Business and Professional Association that's meant to bring together business, citizen and government efforts to keeping Jamaica Plain's streets clean.

The clean-up event will run from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29 at the Soldier's Monument near the Loring-Greenough House. 

Attendees will receive trash bags, gloves and tools, but are asked to bring a broom or rake if possible.
