Jamaica Plain's annual "State of Our Neighborhood Forum" will return this week, taking place at the Kennedy Elementary School on Bolster street Thursday, Feb. 27 from 6-9 p.m., according to the Jamaica Plain Gazette

With the theme of "Ain't No One Can Afford This," the forum will focus on the high cost of living in Jamaica Plain and in Boston, as well as cover social justice from several viewpoints, including food justice, covering access to affordable and fresh healthy food and fairness to small businesses, among other topics, according to the report.

About 200-300 are expected to attend the forum and will also take part in break-out sessions with Jamaica Plain's elected officials. The event will also feature spoken word poetry performed by local youths involved with the event's planning, according to the report.
