Boston Natural Areas Network and the Boston Urban Forest Council, invite you and your family to join local tree experts for a beautiful walk through the Boston Common and Public Garden. Summer evenings are the perfect time to notice the shapes of trees. Join us and learn to distinguish between the upright Ginko, the spreading Oak and the vase shaped Elm. We will also identify leaves and find historic tress as we walk the Common and Public Garden and enjoy the beauty of a summer evening. The walk is co-sponsored in partnership with The Friends of the Public Garden and Boston Parks and Recreation Department. We will meet Wednesday evening July 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Brewer Fountain located behind the Park Street MBTA Station.
The walk is offered free of charge to anyone interested in learning more about local trees, Boston’s Urban Forest, Boston Common and the Public Garden. Reservations are required. Contact BNAN at 617-542-7696 ext.20 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
