Boston has some of the best-tasting tap water around.

That's what the American Water Works Association revealed this month, when it announced that the Boston Water and Sewer Commission won the 10th annual "Best of the Best" Tap Water Taste Test

The competition, held at AWWA’s Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE14) in Boston, comprises regional winners from water-tasting competitions across North America.

Following on the heals of the BWSC is the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, which came in second place in the annual competition. The city of Kalama, Washington received third place in the competition, and was also named the People’s Choice award winner, which was determined by the conference attendees, the AWWA said.
