Boston Globe Editorial Sends Up Jamaica Plain

Author Colin Campbell's new book, titled "Jamaica Plain," does not quite depict the neighborhood for which it is named.

Jamaica Plain has a style and flair unto itself, but, according to the Boston Globe, no one told author Colin Campbell.

In a Friday Globe editorial, the paper reports Campbell’s crime novel, “Jamaica Plain,” though set in the distinct Boston suburb, doesn’t have much to do with it.

The unnamed writer of the article then pitches a few book ideas that embody the unique characteristics of the neighborhood.
