BOSTON, MA – Now in its twentieth year, Whittier Street Health Center (Whittier) will honor Dr. Ralph de la Torre, Chairman and CEO of Steward Health Care System, during its signature Annual Roast fundraiser. The event, a night of tribute, banter, and humor, will be held Thursday, April 3, 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Boston’s Park Plaza Hotel, 50 Park Plaza at Arlington Street, Boston. All proceeds from the event will support Whittier programs.

Building on a history of jesting some of Boston’s most prominent influencers, Dr. de la Torre will be recognized for his commitment to the Boston healthcare community and his outstanding leadership at Steward. Roasters include: Jack Connors, Commerce Sales, Google; Andrew Dreyfus, President & CEO, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts; John Fish, Chairman & CEO, Suffolk Construction Company, and Ruben King-Shaw, Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer, Mansa Capital. The invocation will be led by Reverend Raymond F. Collins, CSSR, Warren-Blanding Professor of Religious Studies and Professor of New Testament, The Catholic University of America.

Whittier’s annul roast is designed to recognize the achievements of a local leader who has exemplified excellence in the Boston community.
