Volunteer for Boston Pride!

Boston Pride announced today that it is looking for volunteers to help with this year’s Pride Week events. Every year, Boston Pride relies on over 200 volunteers to produce a successful Pride Week. Volunteers are needed for the Pride Parade and Pride Festival on Saturday, June 14 and for the Back Bay and Jamaica Plain Block parties on Sunday, June 15.

“Volunteers are the backbone of what makes Boston Pride Week a success,” said Richard Emmons, Boston Pride Volunteer Chair. “The annual Boston Pride Parade is the biggest parade in New England and the Festival is one of the largest attended events on City Hall Plaza. All of these would not be possible without the support of our volunteers.”

Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in Pride Week events and show their support for the LGBT community. Boston Pride volunteers get a behind the scenes look at Pride’s world renowned events. For their time and dedication to Pride, volunteers will receive an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation event in July sponsored by Oberon performance venue in Cambridge. Volunteering with Pride is a great way to network and make new friends.
