Trash Changes, Free Rides and More

Here are five things you need to know today, Dec. 27, in Jamaica Plain.

1. New Year's week trash schedule: Another week, another mid-week holiday. Trash pickup will be delayed by one day starting on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Monday and Tuesday collections will go on as normal. If, however, you get your trash picked up twice a week, your schedule will not change.

2. Help a neighbor: A JP resident needs your help fighting brain cancer. Read more about it here.

3. Free ride: The MBTA will give you a free ride after 8 p.m. on New Year's Eve. The complimentary ride is part of the city's preparations for First Night. Click here for more details.
