Street Sweeping Resumes in Boston Tuesday

Sweeping runs from April 1 through Nov. 30 in most sections of the city.

Tuesday marks the start of April, and with that the Boston will resume its street sweeping program across much of the city.

The city's daytime neighborhood street cleaning program runs from April 1 to Nov. 30 for all Boston neighborhoods, except for the North End, South End and Beacon Hill. In those neighborhoods, sweeping is extended into the months of December and March, according to the City of Boston website.

Vehicles that are parked illegally are subject to a $40 ticket issued by the city and will potentially be towed at the owner's expense, with tows costing between $100 and $150, according to Boston.com.
